Similar to my input on the Clean Energy Act itself, I’m concerned about the emphasis on the present supply situation. I’d like to see mention of developers being able to argue future supply, or replacement supply, and have that be mandated to factor in to the IESO’s decisions. Lire davantage

While I agree that a full analysis of future electricity demands need to be completed by the IESO. I take issue with the very simplistic statement that there is excess generation in Ontario. Lire davantage

Again this provincial government has ludicrous ideas. We are in a position where we need to transition to renewable clean energy. We should not be stifling the growth of renewable energy. Let’s start the transition while we have enough energy . Scrap nuclear. Lire davantage

It is imperative to promote the development of renewable energy in order to meet future energy demands without contributing to global warming. We need to stimulate renewable energy projects, not impede them through legislation such as the proposed regulation.

I agree that renewable energy projects should not proceed unless the project developer can show that there is a demand for the electricity.

you are wrong. i don't think a project developer should have to show DEMAND for energy when building a reneweable project. an excess of energy will lead to lower prices for everyone. too much energy, especially if it isn't making the environment worse, is not a bad thing. Lire davantage

There is not enough information to show what qualifies as a "demand". I worry that this is reactive, impulsive, anti-Wynne, anti-environment legislation. Lire davantage

We should not restrict renewable energy projects on the basis of this government proposal. Businesses make their own decisions based on economics and we have to let the market decide. We also have to respect any existing contracts so as to be a safe place to do business. Lire davantage

I do not agree with this change in legislation. In order to address GHG emissions and address climate change, we need more renewable energy on the grid and we need to change over from fossil fuel energy sources. Lire davantage
