Bill 66 constitutes an affront to both the environmental conservation and democratic processes of Ontario. The creation of “open-for-business” by-laws will allow for the circumvention of established environmental regulations by municipalities wanting to attract commercial activity. Lire davantage

I am writing to express grave concerns regarding "Bill 66". This OMNIBUS style bill is a mechanism to circumvent many laws and regulations regarding zoning if the municipality passes a so-called “Open for Business” bylaw. Lire davantage

I am writing to you about my key concerns with this proposed bill. ● The proposed changes would roll back the protections that a previous Conservative Government enacted after the Walkerton contaminated water tragedy. Lire davantage

I strongly oppose Bill 66 for a number of reasons. 1) I am disturbed that there is no way for citizens to appeal open-for-business by-laws to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal. Lire davantage

As a citizen of Ontario, and one who lives right next to the Greenbelt and near the Oak Ridges Moraine, I am extremely concerned about the effects this misnamed bill will have on those areas. Lire davantage

Please stop this madness and push for development with no concerns for our environment. We have precious few resources left here in Ontario and ripping it apart further for industry is not the answer. We have endangered species, fragile ecosystems and farmland that need protecting and support. Lire davantage

Oakvillegreen does not support Bill 66. It is a proposed legislation that spells devastating consequences for our Greenbelt, watersheds, farmland and wildlife, by rolling back decades of environmental protection acts. Lire davantage

Bill 66 will undermine the need for density in development and will allow for urban sprawl to occur. Development needs to occur only in areas where dense development is already occurring. Lire davantage

I spend time in two very different municipalities in Ontario . One is mostly rural and the other is in a municipality with some of the worst air quality in Ontario. I therefore have a vested interest in every issue in this poorly thought out piece of proposed leglislation. Lire davantage

Premier Ford you ran on a campaign to reduce government costs. Lire davantage
