Don't increase the level of ethanol in gasoline! Ethanol has a lower energy content than gasoline and diesel, and as such it delivers less power when burned. Lire davantage

We need to stop with "made in Ontario" solutions and get with the program in terms of what works. We were part of Cap and Trade which is widely understood and will be more and more accepted as time goes on. We need to be part of something common and not a standalone program. Lire davantage

The proposed GHG items seem to focus on only a few select industries. Many industries not listed under your regulations/literature either manufacture or use chemicals that are potent green house gases. Lire davantage

Consideration be given to waiving or including seasonal requirement for the 15% bio component in fuels for the Northern Region. Bio fuels as low as 5% tend to gel in above ground fuel tanks causing fueling issues and plugged filters, this can occur at -10C.

Of course Ontario needs both carrot and stick approaches to encourage better corporate behaviour. The 'carbon tax' narrative is divisive and not helpful. Penalties for Pollution is a phrase that many Ontarians would support, especially if people were informed on this issue. Lire davantage

Flexible compliance is criminal. Hold industry accountable and implement measures that actually change behaviour. Invest in industries and research and development that offer clean energy and real alternatives to the polluting status quo in place now. Lire davantage
