I understand that this act will result in decisions that impact my neighbourhood, without any consultation. Decisions could be independent of the municipalities and neighbourhoods affected instead of reviewing appeals in the context of existing municipal plans and provincial planning policies.

I'm extremely concerned by this direction. We have had years of the OMB overruling local decisions and fast tracking the builders. This has seen uncontrolled growth and regular building over farming areas and greenspace.

I live in the Yonge/Eglinton area of Toronto. We are living with what the OMB hath wrought. Serious over densification and overloading of infrastructure. I was pleased to see on the news that Mr. Ford has been quoted saying he wants to see a mix of housing - low rise, mid rise and high rise.
