I find this proposal to return to an OMB extremely irresponsible of Mr. Ford and it shows how disrespectful to the citizens of the GTA and Ontarians he truly is. Lire davantage

This is not enough time for affected municipalities to comment. Please extend the June 1 deadline. Also ensure revenue neutrality for municipalities and change the legislation so that localities can determine what levers are needed to ensure appropriate housing needs are met. Lire davantage

I would like to express my opposition to Bill 108 and deep concerns about the proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act (ESA) that in my opinion can have a dangerous impact on species at risk in Ontario. Lire davantage

Changing the Planning Act appeal process back from true appellate to trial de novo as under the old OMB is a retrograde step. Lire davantage

Bill 108 should not be passed. After years of government review, the government voted to revise the OMB rules. Not that is going to be undone. Municipal council decisions and municipal official plans return to being given much less weight. Lire davantage

Do not pass bill 108 as it has far reaching irrevocable repercussions and it will negatively affect our environment and cities and it’s citizens for ever. It offers no protection for endangered species which will be lost forever and unbalance our eco system! Lire davantage

I oppose returning to the old OMB system. Community planning should be at the local level which takes into account the people and services affected. Lire davantage

Everyday residents, who fight tooth-and-nail to be heard by developers, will be completely abandoned. They know this because they already live in the shade of the terrible and poorly planned projects the OMB approved in the past.

Species at risk legislation should not be weakened to benefit the housing industry. Ontario needs to prioritize its wildlife. Offsetting does not work.

I am deeply disappointed that the undemocratic, unelected Ontario Municipal Board (OMB), which has consistently greenlit poor planning despite the objections of neighbours and local governments is being brought back by the provincial government!!! Lire davantage

I agree with the Toronto council’s recommendation to extend the deadline to September 30 to gain more input from the key stakeholders, namely residents. I agree that more details of what the legislation means should be provided by the Provincial government. Lire davantage
