Open season on wild pigs please. This would help bring the numbers down and hunters spend big money when out and about. Win win.

Wild pigs and Asian carp are seriously concerning. Clear guidance should be given to landowners to shoot and kill pigs without exceptions if sighted to prevent the spread of diseases and crop damage.

Phragmites is recognized as the worst invasive species in Canada, and is growing out of control, reducing biodiversity all over our province. Zebra mussels are having a huge economic impact also in Ontario. Giant hogweed and wild parsnips are also very prevalent in Ontario. Lire davantage

To help slow the spread of invasive species, anglers need to stop harvesting their own bait. Start promoting local bait shops, they are HACCP certified, have rules and regulations to follow and most care about protecting our resource for generations to come. Buy local bait! Lire davantage

Please proceed with haste. We have a short window of opportunity in many cases to avoid the magnitude of issues such as "dog strangling vine" in the Don Valley.

We appreciate the process of identifying invasive species as a means of prioritizing funds. We hope to see the Japanese knot weed eliminated as it seems to render the land useless if you're actually successful in getting rid if it. Lire davantage

I do agree that the Invasive Species act should be reviewed for species and carrier. Furthermore, it should be reviewed in conjunction with angling behavior and regulation. Lire davantage

I am concerned primarily with wild pigs but also have concerns over invasive aquatic organisms. As far as pigs are concerned I believe the current system of monitoring is sufficient and any funding should remain the same or even increase. Lire davantage

I agree that you should be reviewing the identified species and carrier. The negative ecological impact of these species FAR outweighs the economic impact, so even if these species have a positive impact on businesses, that shouldn't matter. Lire davantage

Ragweed, Hogweed, Wild Parsnip are dangerous to people and should be on this list too. English Ivy and Virginia Creeper should be on the list for killing trees. I am in North Bay and most of the list is not in my area. Phragmites are here and invading natural habitats. Lire davantage

I would suggest erraticating all of the evasive species however at the very least destroy all of the wild pigs.

I support the proposal to monitor the listed invasive species and to regulate the transfer of boats from one waterway to another. Both actions are necessary to preserve the ecological integrity of our lakes and rivers.
