Access to clean water is a basic human right. Clean water is an essential public asset and not a commodity that is bought and sold by the private sector. Lire davantage

Nestle makes bottles, not water! Plastic bottles are bad for the environment bc they end up as litter and trash that won't biodegrade. Water is life, people should not be charged to access water. For the sake of the planet, future generations, and our own health, Nestle must be stopped.

The moratorium on more water bottling permits and extension for another 9 months is absolutely necessary. Lets not make any rash decisions without considering all the damage that is being done to our city & province

I support this proposal and think it's a step in the right direction. Ontario needs to take strong actions to protect our environment and resources, including groundwater sources. We need to fully understand the implications before proceeding.

Re: ERO 019-0913 Two-thirds of people in Ontario want the provincial government to phase out all bottled water takings. I am one of them. The Ontario government is obligated to protect water as a human right and ensure it is there for future generations. Lire davantage

Extend the moratorium. To do otherwise would be a national disgrace. Get Nestle out and recognize water as a human right. We are Canadian.

Please extend this moratorium- we cannot continue to create waste this way or pump water out of the ground at the speed we are! Our resources are finite!

Please extend the moratorium. I fully support the extension as I believe it is important to protect our groundwater and restrict access to it for the purposes of bottling. Thank You.

I am pleased that the moratorium has been extended; I would like to see it become permanent. I live in a growing city, Guelph, that is dependent on groundwater for our drinking water. Lire davantage

I support this moratorium and I also support a complete ban on extraction of ground water in Ontario for the purposes of making a profit from what should be a common good. Lire davantage

Groundwater must be better protected by policy and regulation. Commercial water bottling is a purely consumptive water extraction. Water that leaves the watershed is a threat to drinking water. Much of Ontario depends solely on groundwater for drinking water. Lire davantage

In our country the consumption of nonrenewable resources for single-use plastic water bottles and the amount of waste generated is profoundly unsustainable, negatively impacting the local water tables in the surroundings of bottled water processing sites. Lire davantage

DO NOT issue any new Permits to Take Water to any commercial water bottlers - it is a threat to our valuable watershed. Bottling companies manufacture in single use plastics, which is one of the great contributors of non-recycled waste and polluted waters. Lire davantage

It is imperative that our government act in the best interests of the public they serve. Protecting our natural resources, especially our water, should be one of our governments highest priorities. Giving corporations easy access to precious resources should be illegal. Lire davantage

The moratorium on bottled water permits must be extended and furthermore, a decision must be made to NOT allow anymore bottled water permits. Our Ontario Water is not for sale. We have to be responsible to think of the generations to come. Lire davantage
