I object, the wilderness of Ontario is used by many who prefer not to cause damage. The bears are not dangerous, hiking, and recreating near where bear hunting happens is dangerous. Ontario better not allow this change to take place. Yes I'm upset!

I 100% object. The bears are not dangerous. Hiking and recreating near where bear hunting happens is dangerous. Ontario should not allow this change to take place! We’r me smarter than this. Let’s not regress.

I object the wilderness of Ontario is used by many who prefer not to cause damage. The bears are not dangerous; hiking, and recreating near where bear hunting happens is dangerous. A responsive Ontario would not allow this change to take place.

I have lived in Northern Ontario my entire life and I do not support the killing of black bears for sport. Therefore it is insulting to make it even easier for hunters to kill them. Read more

How sad! Bear hunting should not even be allowed ! And now you want this? Is no animal safe from blood thirsty humans ! And what about the babies left without a mother? Sad this is even being contemplated

The proposed 30 metre distance is an enormous change from the previous regulations and will create a dangerous situation for hikers and others using trails. I strongly oppose this proposal. You are listening to the gun lobbyists, not to the people of Ontario who prioritize safety. Read more

I strongly object to this proposal. It is a safety issue for all recreational users of the woods including hunters to have rifles fired so close to multi use trails. Read more

In this world climate of increasing anti-gun sentiment, it is astounding that you would even consider increasing the exposure of the public to these ludicrous "hunting" weapons. Read more
