I understand the need to revise this process but there is too much emphasis given to industry that affects the rights of the general public. Business has the ability to lobby government to rule in their favour while small community groups that oppose a project cannot afford lengthy court battles. Read more

I believe that the changes to the act go too far in the favor of the aggregate producers and will negatively effect the environment. Specifically the water. My reason for writing is that in the summer I live near the proposed Bacher quarry near Harvey Lake (Dorset Ontario area). Read more
