Buying bottled water is paying for someone to produce plastic bottles that take 450 years to decompose. Considering plastic is choking sea life, and has created a garbage patch in the ocean, doesn’t it make more sense to stop the problem where it starts. Read more

Thank you for your proposal to extend the moratorium on the taking of water for the purpose of bottling it in single-use plastic bottles. As well, it is a travesty that Nestle in particular has been allowed to do this for so long - taking valuable groundwater for profit. Read more

The total arrogance of Nestle is, by itself, an excellent reason for a moratorium! While Canada has innumerable lakes and rivers, it is not Nestle's God given right to sell OUR water back to us! One of Canad's virtues has always been fairness, while this whole situation reeks of unfairness. Read more

I am in full support of the extension and would even say that it should be for a longer time period. We should not be selling the water so cheaply and allowing the companies to make such extreme profits. Bottled water should be cut back. Read more
