Reject amendments on ‘A Place To Grow’. Protect the Greenbelt and prioritize protection of prime farm land over unchecked urban sprawl. Protect habitat for at-risk species and preserve our environment, for the sake of our own health and the health of the planet. Read more

Please do not go through with this proposal. I am against allowing aggregate extraction in threatened and endangered species habitats. Aggregate extraction can already occur throughout most of the Greater Golden Horseshoe area and the Natural Heritage System. There does not need to be more. Read more

Please DO NOT destroy yet more green space in Ontario to accommodate "growing the economy". What many politicians lack is a true understanding of sustainable development - the people who propose "economical growth" via "the paving of green space" have no concept of long term consequences. This plan for changes puts the greenbelt at huge risk for erosion and threatens habitats of species because they would be build into for city growth. Prime farmland and rural areas should not be considered second to urban sprawl, they should have protection as well. Read more
