To whom it may concern, Just want to express my outrage learning that Ontario want to exempt the logging industry from Ontario's Endangererd Species at Risk Act. This is unacceptable as it puts our Caribou and the Boreal Forrest at huge risk. Please stop this disaster before it's too late. Read more

The government of Ontario wants to exempt the logging industry from Ontario’s Endangered Species at Risk Act until at least 2020. Please, do not enact these exemptions. If these are approved, the already threatened caribou is at risk of losing the vast expanses of forest they need to survive. Read more

I am writing this comment to provide support to the proposal that was posted on the Environmental Registry to Extend the Endangered Species Act Section 55 Regulation for Forestry. In my opinion if implemented, the Act presents a serious risk of inadvertent consequences. Read more

At no other time in history have we been losing spicies as quickly as we are now. Where endangered animals are involved, no exemptions should be permitted for any industry. Please do not exempt the logging industry from Ontario’s Endangered Species at Risk Act until at least 2020. Read more

It is absolutely unacceptable for any Canadian government to exempt any industry (including the logging industry) from rules that protect the caribou and the boreal forest. In fact, that should be standard operating procedure when confronting any environmental rule. Read more

I was born and raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario. It is a great city to live in and raise a family but in the last two decades the city has suffered. This was largely due to the fact that this was a pulp and paper city and Northwestern Ontario was a pulp and paper region. Read more
