There is no debate about climate change: we know we need to ac now, act fast and act big. Carbon pricing is an essential (albeit not sufficient) tool to address the very real threat of climate change. By creating incentives to reduce GHG emissions, carbon pricing works. Read more

Climate change is real! We need to carry on with the cap and trade. Something is better than nothing. Just because the provincial government wants the crown to fork over the money involved in cancelling said program, doesn't make it a done deal. Read more

Climate change is one of the biggest threats to future generations. He increase we've seen in floods, storms and droughts is only the tip of the iceberg. Not only do we need the cap and trade program, we also need to reduce carbon emissions immediately and invest in renewable energy. Read more

I think completing cancelling the cap and trade program is an extremely bad idea. We are suppose to be looking out for the future generations by protecting the environment which includes reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This action is completely backwards from today's realities!!!!

I am 100% against this irresponsible and shortsighted Bill. I see very little persuasive data or rationale for cancelling the cap and trade program. You could at least TRY to explain yourselves to those of us wondering where your brains are at with this thinking. Read more

Climate change is the largest problem to have ever faced the human race. It is a dire existential threat which requires urgent and drastic action. The plant is changing. Humans are causing this. We are currently in the midst of the sixth mass extinction event to ever happen on our planet. Read more

Global climate change is made by human activity and will be devestating in its effects. It will be far more costly to experience and adapt to wildfires, heat waves, floods, and hurricanes than it will be to prevent them now by pricing carbon. Read more

With regards to the proposed cancellation of the Ontario Cap and Trade program. I am firmly against the cancellation. First and foremost, this program shows that Ontario is committed to curtailing global warming. We must put forth an effort to save our environment. Read more
