By cancelling Ontario's cap-and-trade plan, the Ontario government is making it clear that it is not taking climate action, and is effectively withdrawing from Canada's national climate change plan without a plan of their own. Please keep the system in place or submit a better one

As a citizen of Ontario, I firmly believe that the government of this province ought to prioritize a climate plan that is consistent with the Paris climate agreement targets. Climate denial and inaction have enormous costs for our economy, our health, and our environment. Read more

Instead of implementing a carbon tax or cap and trade, both producers and importers of hydrocarbon fuels should be required to invest a specific amount into green energy programs and firms for every gallon of the hydrocarbon fuel that has been producer or imported.

Without our environment we will die. The science exsists, pay attention and have a new plan before dismantling the one in place. The PC's have acknowledged people caused climate change is real, do something fact based, not because some lobbyist wants it.

Thank you for representing Ontarians in this matter. I fully support any action required to implement this change. Ontario's sovereignty should not be trampled by a Fed that only wants to virtue signal. Especially when that feel good pat on the back action hurts Canadians.

Passing the Cap and Trade Cancellation ACT 2018, and repealing the Climate Change Mitigation and low-carbon Economy Act 2016 (ccmlea), is short-sightedly foolish. Climate change is real, and we had FINALLY started to do something about it. We did not have a carbon tax, but now we will. Read more

I am gravely concerned that the current government has identified climate change (and programs associated with it) to be a party-based issue. It is not. There is no other issue more concerning and in need of immediate and decisive action that climate change. Read more
