Please do not repeal this act. Cap and trade is fiscally conservative, uses market incentives, and is a needed tool in the toolkit to deal with the issues but also to position Ontario as a leader with an economic competitive advantage. We do not need to prop up the old ways of doing things.

A consensus of leading economists state that a carbon tax with 100% of the proceeds returned to tax payers is the most effective way to begin a lasting decarbonization.
This should be Ontario’s strategy.
The government should have more foresight and not take actions that will provide us with short term gains to improve its popularity.
Climate change policies and environmental policies should be based on science not popularity.
