Net-metering should be encouraged and separated from a renewable energy approval. It is the individual who would be making the choice that the electricity is needed, and should not be the decision of government to be deciding whether you want to produce your own power or not. Read more

While I agree with this proposal in the sense that we should not be needlessly adding capacity to our system. However, if the province could negotiate contracts to sell power to areas outside the province, the province would need to have excess capacity to sell. Read more

In considering demand, the total demand picture should be part of the determination, not just that a party is willing to purchase what is produced. Existing projects should not be approved for sale until they are fully compliant with the REA. Read more

Withdraw ERO 013-3800 To get to this point was difficult and needs to be simplified. This proposed regulation continues to revoke local municipal control over maintenance, future expansion or repowering. It allows the continuation of loss of municipality democratic rights. Read more

The proposed revision to the Renewable Energy Approvals Regulation continues to be inadequate. Comments were previously made with respect to the previous proposal, filed under ERO 013-3800 to identify areas of insufficiency, which still apply. (recopied at the bottom) Read more

The proposal has a greater concern for the project proponent, than for the people affected. Until ground water and noise concerns are given higher considerations than profit your proposal will continue to be ineffective at protecting the residents of Ontario.

The proposed changes do nothing to address and resolve the negative impacts that people are experiencing due to wind turbines. To allow more turbines to be constructed and those in operation to continue operating when negative impacts have been reported for decades is unconscionable. Read more

I feel strongly the project companies should have NO say in whether there is a need for their type of electricity. PLEASE No more Wind Turbines, too expensive to produce, way too many adverse health and land use problems. Keep rural communities safe and healthy.

These amendments are step in the right direction but they do nothing to address the wind turbine problems in Chatham-Kent. 1) Rural water well disturbances. Clean water for rural usage is absolutely essential. Read more

The proposed changes do absolutely nothing to address the many negative impacts associated with wind turbines. Living in a region with recently build turbines, we have seen first hand the negative impact they have made on the families around us with no well water and contamination to other wells. Read more

Unfortunately, the proposed changes do absolutely nothing to address the many negative impacts associated with wind turbines. Wind developers must be required to demonstrate that their electricity plants will not cause harm to humans or wildlife or the environment. Read more
