It is most unfortunate that Doug Ford took unilateral action to cancel green energy projects rather than address concerns with existing fee structure and location or scale challenges. The cost to Ontario will be extensive including loss of goodwill with business investors. Read more

I feel it is irresponsible for this government to cancel this project without debate and without knowing what all the constituents want. Careful consideration should have been given to the value of this project. As a taxpayer, I find it hard to believe that this makes any economic sense. Read more

Todd Smith insists that this cancellation has nothing to do with the environment or with politics. He insists that there will be savings to taxpayers even after the costs of decommissioning and compensating wpd Canada are taken into account. Read more

As a resident of Prince Edward County, I have seen how a small group of very vocal and newly arrived retirees have divided this community and led Mr Smith and municipal council to believe that there is no support for the White PInes project. Read more
