So if my light vehicle fails it's emissions test say in December 2018, and i opt to not get any repairs done on the car but instead I opt to temporarily take the car off the road, park it in my own driveway until April 1 2019 when the e tests are cancelled. Read more

The Drive Clean test should not be cancelled for Light duty vehicles because it is for the consumers' protection on resale cars. If a car has an error code it can be cleared by the seller and the buyer would not know that there was a problem. Read more

Move the entire HDV emissions inspections test to MTO National Safety Code 11B carrier annual safety inspections. Garages across the province are already certified to inspection for emission control equipment as part of the MTO CVOR program. Read more

I don't believe it is fair that facilities should have to pay the maintenance charges up to the end date. We deserve some consideration for the equipment expenses. This is nothing short of a travesty. 1500 facilities did what they were asked to do and get screwed in the end.

Heavy duty should be tested along with safety 11b inspections. One stop shopping. In depth inspection including temperatures and pressures along with visual inspection done by mechanics with drive clean certification. Read more
