Do not repeal this act - business must not be allowed, under any circumstances, without ethical responsibility to function safely within our environment - history has proved that without regulation that cannot be assumed.
I am against Bill 66
Repealing the toxins act is deplorable.
It is difficult enough now with trying to keep companies responsible for their pollution!
It will only be worse !
I strongly oppose Bill 66. Please consider alternative programs to incentivize businesses to establish in Ontario. Opening up Ontario's natural and agricultural resources is shortsighted and dangerous to the health and financial sustainability of the Ontarians province and pocket books.

By eliminating the Toxics Reduction Act and allowing for development under Schedule 10 of Bill 66 that ignores important environmental measures, these proposals eliminate the regulations that are meant to protect the very people whom these government claims to be “for”.

As a province and as a country we need to be responsible citizens and be diligent in cleaning up the toxins that exist and to prevent others from being created. Health comes first.

The position of this government that repealing the TRA eliminates unnecessary duplication of laws is untrue and unfounded.

Bill 66, Restoring Ontario's Competitiveness Act, 2018 is aimed at increasing employment by cutting red tape - eliminating redundant regulations. This bill will needlessly bypass or eliminate critical regulations and put public health and safety at risk.
