We shouldn't allow Bill 66 to pass as it is an antidemocratic law. It will give the developers the right to build businesses even in protected areas and it leaves the citizens without a way of knowing how to prevent it. Read more

I think this is a great idea. It provides municipalities greater autonomy to take action to do what is required for economic and population growth given that they at the grass roots would be more apprised and knowledgeable of their own needs at the municipal level.

Bill 66 is a step backwards for this province. There are better ways to be 'open for business' than negating all the work put into current regulations and official plans. We need a government willing to protect our province and ensure we grow and develop in a responsible manner. Read more

For Bill 66 to be justified, it would be appropriate and important that the government indicate issues that the Bill is designed to address. Most of the planning policies that have been put in place by the Province over the past 50 years have served us well. Read more
