We shouldn't allow Bill 66 to pass as it is an antidemocratic law. It will give the developers the right to build businesses even in protected areas and it leaves the citizens without a way of knowing how to prevent it.

I think this is a great idea. It provides municipalities greater autonomy to take action to do what is required for economic and population growth given that they at the grass roots would be more apprised and knowledgeable of their own needs at the municipal level.
This is a great plan and I'm so happy the government is finally trying to do the right thing with this land and help the people of Ontario and stop being bullied by environmental groups.
The proposed changes to the Planning Act will allow for unrestricted development on lands that have been earmarked as provincially and environmentally significant. This is an incredible step in the wrong direction.

I do not support Bill 66. I am distressed that this bill removes important environmental protections and eliminates recourse to the OMB. I am proud to live in Waterloo Region who also does not support this bill.
