The Ontario government is proposing alarming changes to the Endangered Species Act. I've examined the proposal in detail, and strongly believe that these changes soften the existing act so significantly that it would become next-to-useless. Read more

In short, I find this proposed legislation to be abhorrent. We need to do more to support endangered species and sensitive habitats, not less. To see the continued degradation of environmental protections saddens me deeply, as our natural heritage is a part of Ontario's and Canada's character. Read more

DO NOT LET THIS PASS. Our environment is all we got and these endangered species were here first. Just because they don’t have a voice doesn’t mean us humans can just take over their territory. This will disrupt so many ecosystems on so many levels. Read more

I fundamentally object to the conservative parties plans to gut Ontario’s Endangered Species Act, which equates to selling our wildlife to the highest bidders. This revamp of it gives far too much power to the government to override ecological concerns. Read more

This is ridiculous. What is the point of submitting species for protection if you are just going to continue with actions that could be killing them for a YEAR??? Actions need to be halted until it can be shown species are not harmed by the proposed actions. Read more
