This is not enough time for affected municipalities to comment. Please extend the June 1 deadline. Also ensure revenue neutrality for municipalities and change the legislation so that localities can determine what levers are needed to ensure appropriate housing needs are met. Read more

The Government of Ontario should respect municipalities' decisions regarding planning, especially regarding housing. The citizens should be able to decide how they are governed in the places where they live. Toronto in particular has unique problems and potentials.

Bill 108 should not be passed. After years of government review, the government voted to revise the OMB rules. Not that is going to be undone. Municipal council decisions and municipal official plans return to being given much less weight. Read more

I agree with the Toronto council’s recommendation to extend the deadline to September 30 to gain more input from the key stakeholders, namely residents. I agree that more details of what the legislation means should be provided by the Provincial government. Read more
