My sister-in-law, who is Métis, has never received a moose tag in the past 40 years, since the moose tag draw was implemented. My husband, who is also Métis, never once received a moose tag in the 18 years that he applied to the draw. There is something definitely wrong with this system. Read more

first off thanks for looking at the current moose tag allocation system as it is flawed. 1. No one person needs a full moose to themselves, so the proposal of not having groups and everyone being a single is not a good idea. that one person who draws the tag could decide to go alone. Read more

I read the recommendations on this site and for the most part agree with them. However the 10 hunters limit on one moose tag I disagree with. A large bull is almost too much meat for that many hunters in some cases. Read more

I think the proposals are fairer for individual or small group hunters for sure. I hunt in 49 and almost impossible to get an individual tag . I never agreed with calf hunting , and the hibred bush wolf is out of control so the proposals look good . it address most concerns Kevin

These changes are absolutely ridiculous. I am a hunter in WMU 41/42. Have been applying and only getting calf tags for years. Every year we pay $50+ to apply and have a chance to get a tag for an adult moose, now you want us to apply for a calf? Might as well just quit hunting. Read more

Do the same system they have in Quebec two family per tag. One year you can shoot Bull, cow, caf, and the next year your just allowed bull and caf. It’s fair for everyone and population of moose went up since they started that system. Also there hunting season is only two weeks.
