Concerns about the time frames . Are hunters going to know well ahead if they have a chance for a tag especially for fly ins that require a large down payment . Dates should be part of the equation for this reason and those working having to book time off on vacation. Read more

If you want the moose population to be in better health. Do not allow hunting of the calves for the next 5-6 years and let the population grow. Once the population have rebounded introduce the tagging system for calves as proposed. As a hunter I would support an initiative like this. Thank you.

I 100% support the point system. Finally a fair system. Thank you. At the same time I 100% do not support moose calf hunting of any kind. I would like to see all calf hunting eliminated. There's no way we can grow the population while killing calves. Read more

I've been an avid hunter for decades and watched the Moose tag system fail me due too the tag lottery system. To be positive, I'm interested to see how the new proposed moose tag lottery system works out. Any changes to the existing system is long past due.

Has the negative affect of the stand alone tag and no garantee moose licence could have on astablished hunt camp/clubs and the member that have hunted these areas for generations in their respective wmu. For example I belong to a camp that has Been going for sixty years. Read more

You still are not addressing the problem of moose population. I hunt wmu 36. 99 percent of the moose killed in this unit are harvested by Indigenous people. The paying hunter is now the minority and the one being discriminated against when it comes to fair hunting. Read more

The points system I don’t think will be a fair way for hunters to draw a tag. You could go 10 or more years between drawing a tag again. If guys apply as individuals and hunt alone one moose is a lot of food for that said person. Read more

This system looks very complicated. Without having a group application component you could end up with some hunt camps holding multiple tags while other camps would still be without tags. This is what is happening now. You still need a group component if you are going to make this system work.
