I am particularly concerned regarding the lessening of existing controls on lumber harvesting in Ontario. There seems to be no mention of concern for the wildlife that will be affected by this.

Looks like a good proposal. The only concern that jumps out at me is " Reducing Regulatory Concerns".
As long as the regulations are not being reduced and its only the concerns, then fine.

I support a long-term solution for the forest Industy which recognizes the Crown Forest Sustainability Act (CFSA) as an equivalent process to the Endangered Species Act (ESA).

As much as I appreciate the focus on forest sustainability, we also need to consider the habitat loss that will come with this additional logging. The damage it will do to the animals living there will not be reversible. We need to do things that promote biodiversity and not just serve our economy.

You should be taking the importance of animal life (which includes birds) into your considerations and realize they are an economic gain. A healthy forest depends on so many factors. It is a shame so many ministry members are foresters and so few are biologists.
