I support the moratorium.
I believe more comprehensive environmental assessments need to be done on this issue.
I want them to phase out the practice of allowing private companies to take groundwater for the purposes of bottling water.
Our groundwater should not be bottled and sold, generating more plastic waste and impacting the groundwater systems. Many people of Six Nations lack safe water but Nestle is extracting water from their lands.
As a citizen who benefits from access to clean and plentiful water, I appreciate the effort and inquiry by those who are monitoring water consumption and commercial use in our province. If those with time and expertise are asking for an extension of the current moratorium; please do so!

The moratorium on bottled water permits must be extended. In fact it must be permanent. Nestle's is draining the water reserves of cities and small towns in Wellington County and elsewhere in Ontario and this must be stopped.
