Is Nestle still taking water on an expired permit? If so it is time government stood up & took ownership & stopped this practice. The water should be for the people in that area of Ontario not for a conglomerate to make money.
Please extend the current moratorium on water bottling permits. Our water natural resources are needed for the communities who live nearby the water sources and our government should not be supporting businesses that further pollute the environment with plastics.
It is essential that this moratorium be extended. By the end of the extension, the decision should be that Nestlé (and similar companies, processes) should be denied any opportunity to remove water from aquifers.

It is time to absolutely prohibit corporations taking our water for profit. The water of Ontario and Canada belongs to all of us, and should be responsibly managed exclusively by and for the government of Canada.

This decision is a no-brainer. Water is a human right not a commodity. The sooner we admit this and practice it the world will be a better place. Capitalism has its limits many of which are currently over reached. Let’s not make water one of them.
It is important to keep Ontario's natural resources in Ontario, and Canada, and the government must make a stand, and tell multi-national companies, like Nestle, that we will not allow our resources to be given or sold away.
