We are in general agreement with the comments provided by Gravel Watch Ontario in its letter dated March 2020. However, we do wish to address the issue of flyrock risk in particular, as considered in Section 3.1.3 for new and existing operations.

If this act is passed, there will be more traffic/workers in the area as the work will increase in the quarry. This means the workers will be travelling up from where they live, as well as the dump trucks moving stone across far distances.

I owned and lived on a 100 acre farm in Ayr for a number of years. My concern is the lack of adequate monitoring/ inspection. I was made aware of certain alleged practices that were not in compliance to rules/laws but had a low risk of detection.
