I believe the support of falconry and the expansion of the live capture regulations are very important. Falconry is important as a cultural and symbiotic activity. With proper implementation and ethical practice it serves to bring people closer to nature. Read more

I am shocked that this is actually being considered. With the decline of so many bird species, allowing the capture of wild raptors for essentially human entertainment is disturbing. In this day and age, the MNR needs to put more interest on the side of wildlife, not on human wants. Read more

I would like to submit my full support for the proposal. I myself am a licensed falconer, and all emotions set aside, I think that there is a clear rationale as to why the proposal should fairly pass. Read more

The Ontario Hawking Club has been very active in monitoring goshawks, and I strongly support the proposal to allow adjustment of the numbers of goshawks based on new information as it becomes available in the future.
