This project must be stopped. Any mining in the area jeopardizes one of the few unique wilderness ecosystems that is accessible to enthusiasts from the South of the province. Perhaps exploring somewhere that is not a developed and historic recreational wilderness area would be a more prudent move. Read more

We just went out to explore. Such beautiful scenery and peaceful. So much evidence of animals and nature. Our kids loved the hairy Caterpillar we seen, the animal tracks we tried to identify. We would be super sad to loose this! Leave nature for those to enjoy!

I am completely opposed to this project, not only does mining in Ontario not benefit the residents of Ontario, due to the absolutely ridiculous tax breaks allowed to mining corporation, but we, as residents of Ontario would lose a beautiful natural space.

This is an area I grew up in. Now it's an area I return to, with the old growth forests always able to let me leave with better mental health than when I entered. I had always planned on bringing my children here, someday, and the thought of this area being further used for mining is enraging. Read more
