Protecting and expanding the Green Belt is extremely important, thank you to the Government of Ontario for doing so. Please continue to prioritise the Green Belt, and ensure that Indigenous peoples are properly consulted in these important decisions.
Ontario must continue to develop in a stragic and sustainable way. The current pandemic has shown us that food security, as well as climate change must be dealt with immediately. Expansion of the Ontario Green Belt is an intelligent way to develop with these two things in mind.

I strongly support the addition of the Paris Galt moraine into the Greenbelt. The moraine provides critical groundwater recharge to support water supply in the region and protects water quality of groundwater sources.

In order to actually preserve the Greenbelt this also means not developing additional 400 series highways like 413 and the Holland Marsh Bypass. True support for the Greenbelt will require no new highway corridors and added securities for at risk areas.

Such good news about the Ontario Government supporting the Green economy. However, it seems that it is a case of giving with one hand and taking from the other with the news that the PC Government is plaanning a highway north of the 407 that will eliminate farms and muuch of the Green Belt.
