I would like to see a strong provincial and national Natural Heritage System and Water Protection System designed in conjunction with growing the Greenbelt. It makes sense that the Greenbelt be protected and expanded as a main feature of these other two systems.

Metrolinx proposes building a layover for diesel trains in the lower don valley. This doesn't fit with the protections of river valley watercourses. The city is trying to rehabilitate the don river and establish the Don River Valley Park. Read more

You have spent money to grow the green belt but have no money to find a cure for Lymes Disease. In fact most doctors in this province don’t recognize Lymes. This disease is carried by ticks who breed in greenbelt areas. This is the next silent pandemic!

There is more than enough developable land west of Clairington, for the next few decades at least. The government needs to prevent developers from developing any piece of land beyond Clarington. I am for expanding the green belt and preventing any more development within the green belt.

I strongly support efforts to expand the green belt. With regards to the province’s competing priorities on infrastructure, I would question whether every other approach has been exhausted. There is a dire need for infrastructure upgrades within existing developed land. Why is that not prioritized? Read more
