I strongly disagree with this move. Not only does renewable energy have a strong business case, Ontario is failing to meet it's climate targets. Renewable energy must continue to be prioritized in Ontario's energy landscape in order to stay relevant on the international stage.

I support the proposal to repeal three sets of legislative provisions in the Electricity Act, 1998 (EA) and the Ontario Energy Board Act, 1998 (OEBA) that promote and prioritize renewable energy generation projects - that prioritizing renewable generation is no longer appropriate.

There is a tremendous lot to do to electrify Ontario and we will need to build renewable energy projects. We can save money by buying hydro power from Quebec and spend the savings on our own wind, solar and energy storage projects.
