It’s time for a paradigm shift. Money over environmental issues, corporate greed trumps healthy ecosystems. Global warming causing havoc on our coastlines, loss of ecosystems and species, increased fires, record temperatures — cutting trees down for pellets— sad commentary on your government.
We are in a climate emergency. People and businesses are wasteful with electricity.
My neighbours run their a/c when they aren’t even home!
Education around climate, resources, and energy use is important at this time.
Trees are precious.

We need trees to live - bottom line. The more they are cut down, the more humans will suffer. It is disgusting to me that we live in a world that prioritizes profits over preservation.

Dear Holders of our Environment,
I am writing to let you know that your policies and plans for moving forward are not good for the environment and people. These are some of the main reasons:

I am concerned that this plan will promote even more logging of the forests. It says that it will only uses “mill by-products” aka, waste wood, to manufacture wood pellets.

Please stop expanding the wood pellet industry. This is not a sustainable energy solution, you would be aggravating the effects of climate change. Wood pellets are dirtier than coal at the smokestack and increasing deforestation as a climate solution is not viable.
A decision to burn more wood pellets means burning more trees for electricity – producing a fuel that’s even dirtier at the smokestack than coal. I do not support this decision.
We need to protect the resources we have left and trees are a very powerful weapon in fighting climatehange
Please do not move toward wood pellets as a clean energy. It isn't.
It is a step backward. We need to stop BURNING to make energy. Not wood, not coal, not oil. It is not rocket science.

Using healthy trees stolen from richly biodiverse land for wood pellets is insane. Literally anyone should be able to see that this is not a sustainable power source.

The Canadian people are sick of the Government lying to us about their strategies to combat climate change! It intentionally tries to deceive us all for the sake of the big dollar! We know burning wood pellets is dirtier than coal!

Protecting our forests needs to be a top priority. We need to be exploring more sustainable heating solutions and leaving more wild spaces left untouched. If we continue to cut down trees at this rate, Canada will be a barren wasteland, and no amount of money is worth that.
