I am against this proposal. Protections for vulnerable or endangered species should remain in place. It is my understanding that Ontario represents approximately 25% of the global black ash range, so we have a responsibility to ensure the preservation of this species. Read more

There is insufficient justification provided here for the delay in protections for black ash. The species has already been left unprotected for a full year since assessment, and an additional two years will only leave it more vulnerable. Read more
