We are proposing regulatory amendments to enable the transport of preserved baitfish and leeches into and out of Bait Management Zones (BMZ) and to allow the temporary transport of bait out of and into a BMZ so that they can be used in the BMZ they were acquired in. These changes are intended to increase flexibility for anglers and bait operator.

These changes support a centralized billing solution for distributors to bill net-metered customers according to their choice of pricing plan.
We are proposing a technical standard for the carbon black sector that would include requirements to reduce sulphur dioxide air emissions from facilities that register to the technical standard. The proposed technical standard would help align the industry with similar environmental practices in other jurisdictions, such as the United States.

Ontario Regulation 161/17 was amended to clarify that floating accommodations cannot be placed or used for outdoor accommodation or camping purposes on public land covered by water. Ontario Regulation 326/94 was also amended to make the same clarification for non-residents camping on public land in northern Ontario.

We have created Monarch Point Conservation Reserve in Prince Edward County to provide greater protection to the area. The conservation reserve was created through regulation under the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006.
