The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing has received Official Plan Amendment 49 from the City of Cambridge for a decision. The adopted Official Plan Amendment 49 proposes to add a site-specific policy to permit both residential and commercial uses to exist at grade for the lands municipally known as 55 Kerr Street.

The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing has received Official Plan Amendment 59 from the City of Kitchener for a decision. The adopted Official Plan Amendment 59 modifies the implementation date for Inclusionary Zoning policies within Protected Major Transit Station Areas, changing it from January 1, 2025, to January 1, 2026.
We have posted proposed legislative amendments to the Crown Forest Sustainability Act,1994 (CFSA) on Ontario’s Regulatory Registry that, if approved, would enable us to make regulations that would create a more efficient process for the removal of forest resources for non-forestry purposes.
We are proposing to amend the Resource Recovery and Circular Economy Act, 2016. These changes would enable Ontario’s producer responsibility framework to be more responsive to the needs of business and allow government to assess the effectiveness of any future changes to the framework.
We are proposing to amend the Blue Box Regulation under the Resource Recovery and Circular Economy Act, 2016. These changes would curb higher than expected cost growth while ensuring that the blue box continues to support resource recovery in Ontario.
