An amendment to Environmental Compliance Approval (waste disposal site) No. 4462-AD6P6S was issued to 781998 Ontario Inc., for a non-hazardous solid waste transfer facility located in the Township of Champlain, Ontario.

The amendment is for an orientation change & other site modifications.

We have made decisions related to three of the topics in the proposal: Harvest Approvals, Forest Manuals (one forest management plan for multiple management units) and Forest Resource Licences (digital form for issuance). Other topics in this proposal are still being considered including the other potential changes to the Forest Resource Licence.

An Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) has been issued to Blair Asphalt Products Ltd. This approval is to amend the previous issued ECA No. 1187-BQY5M4 for Blair Asphalt Products Ltd. for the operation of a hot-mix asphalt plant, located in the St. Albert, Ontario.

The proposed amendments have been revised and posted on the Environmental Registry for comments.

On May 15, 2026, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing made a Minister's Zoning Order in the Town of Midland as Zoning Order 006-2026. 

A decision was made on May 15, 2026, to approve, with modifications, a new official plan for the Municipality of Magnetawan, to achieve consistency with provincial policies, and to manage and direct physical (land use) change within the municipality.

Ontario Regulation 161/17 and Ontario Regulation 239/13 were amended to allow short-term bridges, geotechnical investigations, and mobile wind testing and environmental monitoring equipment on public lands provided conditions are followed, including location registration. In addition, the definition of “shore lands” was amended.

We have approved changes to the Renewable Energy on Crown Land (RECL) policy and to rescind the renewable energy project Approvals and Permitting Requirements Document (APRD). These changes reflect current policy and approvals considerations for the management of public lands when a proposal for a renewable energy project is submitted.

Approval is granted for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (industrial sewage) to establish stormwater management works owned by SCAL Properties Ltd., to service a proposed Equipment Storage Yard Facility for the collection and disposal of stormwater runoff from a property located on Lot 20, Concession 4, in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville.

Permit to Take Water No. 6526-DSFNUU was issued to Ontario Custom Aggregates Limited. Water will be taken from one pond for aggregate washing purposes.

A new Environmental Compliance Approval was granted to 2572306 Ontario Inc., for existing and proposed sewage works at a total maximum daily flow capacity of 72, 598 litres per day to service 53 existing and 15 new mobile home lots located at 11981 Plank Road, Bayham Municipality, County of Elgin.

Permit to Take Water No. P-300-5384918522 has been issued to MANITOULIN TROUT FARMS INC., for aquaculture purposes. Water will be taken from four wells, located in Coldwater, Ontario.

Permit to Take Water No. P-300-3382204449 has been issued to INVERARY GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB INC. for golf course irrigation and water supply purposes. Water will be taken from three drilled wells and four ponds: Clubhouse Well, Shop Well, Backup Well; and Ponds 1, 2, 3 and 4, in South Frontenac.

A decision was made to implement the proposals to establish a framework for issuing administrative monetary penalties and to make updates to the Outdoor Fires Regulation.

Approval is granted for an amendment to Environmental Compliance Approval No. 0314-CWVNWY for Beckley Beach Cottagers’ Corporation, to revise the Groundwater Monitoring Conditions, and to replace an existing Class 5 Holding Tank on a property described as Lots 15 to 78, Registered Plan no. 776, Geographic Township of Sherbrooke.

An Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) was issued to St. Marys Cement Inc. (Canada) operating as CBM Ready Mix for the operation of three ready-mix concrete batching plants, located in Bowmanville, Ontario.

Permit to Take Water No. P-300-1105467667 version 2.0 was issued to Seven Lakes Golf Course Ltd. on March 12, 2026, to renew Permit to Take Water No. P-300-1105467667 version 1.0 for golf course irrigation purposes. Water will be taken from two ponds and two wells in LaSalle, Ontario for 10 years.

Permit to Take Water No. 0378-DQQRR6 has been issued to St. Albert Cheese Co-operative Inc., for industrial food processing for a cheese production plant. Water will be taken from four wells in The Municipality of The Nation, Ontario.
