Canada Nickel Company has submitted a Mine Closure Plan for the Crawford Advanced Exploration Project for filing by MINES as required under the Mining Act.
A pre-conversion period was set that included a cessation of staking mining claims, the suspension of a number of transactions relating to mining claims and removed the requirement for claim holders to perform assessment work for a set time period.
Amendments were made to O. Reg. 267/03 under the Nutrient Management Act, 2002 to remove the five-year expiry of the Agricultural Operation Planning certificate. Housekeeping amendments to the Regulation and Protocol were also made to add clarity. No changes were made to the proposal as a result of consultation.
