In this time of environmental crisis, we need all the clean, renewable energy we can get. Shutting down this project will only contribute to further climate degradation which will cost all of us huge amounts as natural disasters continue to escalate and become more frequent. Saving our planet is rapidly becoming a matter of survival for our species, not a luxury that we can't afford. We can't afford NOT to stop burning fossil fuels and we must start sequestering carbon back in the earth where it belongs. Cancelling projects that help resolve the climate crisis is clearly not a direction that is in the best interest of Ontario voters.
