I'm an employee for Resolute Forest Products in Thunder Bay Ontario. But firstly I'm a northwestern Ontario citizen that has been born and raised in this area. There are no better stewards of the forest than its neighbors that work, play and live in the wilderness. Read more

i am strong believer of environmental safety, and protecting endangered species, but also understand the importance of investing the time to properly capture all the angles to ensure the policy works for everyone and does not leave loop holes to lend it self to corrupting the original intent. You are planning to exempt the logging industry from Ontario’s Endangered Species at Risk Act until at least 2020. If these exemptions are approved, the already threatened caribou is at risk of losing the vast expanses of forest they need to survive. [Original Comment ID: 213080]
