I am a father of 6 children and a grandfather of 8 and a retired Paramedic. I have seen first hand the health effects on children and the elderly from the pollution of burning fossil fuels. The best thing Ontario ever did was to eliminate coal fired hydro generation. Read more

Scrapping cap and trade is completely irresponsible. Scrap Bill 4 instead. We need a financial mechanism to limit carbon emissions. We had one and it was good. Bill 4 ruins it and has already been extremely disruptive to the market. Please put Ontario's cap and trade system back on track.

The repeal of this program without a superior more intensive modality to reduce carbon pollution is an insult to responsible Canadians! AGW is an established fact and to refuse to act on what is rapidly becoming a crisis is the action of petulant children like the USA's Trump! Read more

Bill 4, the Cap and Trade Elimination Act, which is a market based solution to controlling carbon emissions, is costly and self-destructive. As a revenue neutral program it had already been able to fund many pollution and carbon mitigation initiatives, providing jobs and income for Ontarians. Read more

I disagree with Bill 4: Cap and Trade Cancellation Act. Cap and Trade is one of the few available mechanisms for the government to effectively reduce carbon emissions in Ontario that utilizes market mechanisms rather than complicated regulations. Read more
