Backing out of cap-and-trade is a short-sighted and regressive act of denial. The evidence for the environmental and economic benefit of cap-and-trade is clear and convincing. Backing out with nothing but a political rationale is hostile to good sense, to the electorate, and to the environment.

We are seeing climate change impacts here in Canada now, with documented changes in National Parks across the country [Link 1] These impacts will only worsen if we do not have strong government incentives AND regulations to limit emissions now. Read more

The scientific community around the WORLD have come out in opposition to this! Nobel prizes were just extended to those in the scientific community who proved that Climate Change is affecting us all and IS benefitted by Carbon Taxes or Cap and Trade. Read more

I reject the proposal to end the Cap n Trade Program. The IPCC just released their special report stating that we must take rapid, far-reaching and unprecedented changes in all aspects of society" to avoid disastrous levels of global warming. Read more

Governments need to use economic incentives to protect the environment for our children and their children. Everything that polluted or is not biodegradable should be taxed according to the negative impact it will have on future generations. Read more
