As a resident and taxpayer of Ontario, I cannot and will not support this bill. There is too much here crammed into one document. And for a Government "For the People" there is a lot here that is certainly not for the residents of Ontario.

Allowing building on the Green Belt and the Oak Ridges Moraine will devastate the environment in that area and drain aquifers around the area. Do not let this bill go through there is no good reason to build there and it will do nothing to make Toronto housing cheaper.
Allowing for municipalities to build upon the greenbelt and go around the water protection regulations is irresponsible and will not get more housing built. There is enough greenfield and brownfield lots in Ontario to build upon. This is unnecessary.
Stimulating business is short-sighted when it comes at the expense of public land and waterways. Ontario's 'competitiveness' is not it's businesses, it is the province's beautiful natural resources and people.

A lot of these rules were added because PEOPLE DIED WHEN WE DIDN'T HAVE THEM. Remember Walkerton, Canadas largest public health disasters in the country? Or how child care rules were changed BECAUSE CHILDREN DIED? Business cant be trusted to regulate themselves.

Remember when those people -died- in Walkerton?
Cool just making sure you can make peace with yourselves before you repeal the regulations that prevent it from happening again.
Blood on your hands. Shame on you.
Protecting Ontario's greenbelt should be a priority. Allowing municipalities to bypass regulatory protections for the environment is a short-term band aid solution. Maximizing profits at the expense of the environment is not acceptable.
Cool, so are we ready for the massive increases in health care costs that this is going to cause or are we just going to kick those down the road as efficiencies too? Welcome back to Walkerton.
I'm leaving Ontario and moving my business with me. My employees are commuting more than two hours each way from urban sprawl in the exurbs to downtown.
Why are you no longer requiring employers to publicly display the ESA poster? As a youth, in my first years of employment at a fast food restaurant, the ONLY reason I became aware of my rights as an employee was because I happened to see the ESA poster in the break room.

I am 100% against this. We need MORE environmental protections, not less. City councillors don't get amazing pay, and you are opening this province to being exploited and sold to the highest bidder. Please don't go through with this.
I strongly oppose the proposed Planning Act regulation (the proposed "open-for-business planning tool) to enable municipalities to enact by-laws that do not conform to the provisions of the Greenbelt Act, the Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Act, and other environmental protection legislation.
After reading this proposal, it can be concluded that this is the government's strategy to cynically bypass both the letter and spirit of the greenbelt act. This is only meant to benefit developers and business interests and lobbyists at the expense of our environmental protection and security.
Bill 66 does not reflect a sound way to approach Planning or environmental protection. Provisions allowing for special ZBL to be passed that bypass environmental protections are a dangerous precedent to allow.

This is ridiculous. The regulations this bill is removing are there for a reason. Lifting them is only being done out of either spite, stupidity or greed. Do NOT push this through. I'm usually a conservative voter but I will not be anymore if this goes through.
The work of this government has continued to disgust me. How does this help make Ontario better? We no longer need skilled workers who understand and follow safety regulations.

The roll back of protections here is vile and reprehensible, intended to turn a quick profit for Doug Ford and his cronies at the expense of people's health and safety.
