I do not agree with this act, as it undermines the integrity and sanctity of the Green Belt, water safety, and a valueable part of our province. We should be preventing urban/suburban sprawl. We should be investing in the infrastructure and density needed in existing towns and urban centres.

You promised not to touch the greenbelt and yet here you go! Regulations are not red tape. They protect us and allow us to control the rate of development and mitigate impacts on communities. There is nothing smart about Bill 66. But I guess it will make money for your developer friends. Read more

Open for Business, or Bill B66, is a disaster waiting to happen for Ontario's Greenbelt and to the public health. Developers have been lobbying politicians for years to get reduce the size of the Greenbelt so they can access it for their residential and commercial developments. Read more

Bill 66 is a remarkable concoction of ignorance in action. Supposedly to eliminate red tape, the Ford government is willing to forsake years of careful protections and let Ontario's rural environments be destroyed through the willful disregard of good stewardship.
