Dear Sirs I wish to register my strong disagreement with your proposed amendments to the Greenbelt Act. I wish the Greenbelt to remain under all of its current protections and available in its current state for future generations. Thank you.

As an Ontario citizen who is very concerned with leaving a well cared for environment for our children, I am vehemently opposed to Schedule 10 of Bill 66 which allows municipalities to override provisions of the Greenbelt Act and Clean Water Act, among others. This schedule must be removed. Read more

I would like to share my disagreement with this proposal. I would like the greenbelt to remain protected as it is now. It is important for the water and environment to be protected. If we don’t have clean water and clean air nothing else we care about can happen.

Remove Schedule 10 from Bill 66, which allows municipalities to override provisions in the Greenbelt Act, Clean Water Act, Lake Simcoe Act, Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Act and Great Lakes Protection Act in an effort to protect critical farmland and critical habitat for at risk species.
