What is “not necessary”? I think preserving green spaces is necessary. Please do not weaken conservation authorities to make it easier for developers to build.
How can you improve service if you are cutting the flooding budget? Conservation is important to many Ontarians but Flood monitoring and keeping homes out of flood prone areas is essential. More should be hired to speed up the process and cut the red tape. Learn from the Harris years.

There should not be permit fees when someone wants to build buildings on their own land and the conservation has it deemed wetland, (even though it is driest field on farm), also no permit fees for municipal ditches.

Change the terminology from Programs and services related to the "risk of natural hazards" to programs and services for the "protection and management of natural hazards". The proposed wording in the Act is too vague as to provide guidance as to the intent.
