The act of removing wildlife from its natural habitat to be used as pawns for recreation (competitions) or dog training is disgusting and cruel, inflicting needless torture and suffering on innocent creatures. This would be step backwards, into barbarianism. I firmly oppose this proposal.

I firmly reject the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry’s proposal to allow new licenses and the transfer of licenses for train and trial areas in Ontario. Penned dog hunting facilities are cruel to the wild animals who are subjected to various methods used to train dogs to hunt. Read more

This is a cruel and barbaric practice. Keeping wild animals penned up to be routinely terrified for "training" purposes of leisure activities is inhumane. This law should not be enacted.

The act of capturing, abusing, and using wild animals to train dogs is abhorrent. I firmly reject the government's proposal to implement this new policy. It is a terrible regression into the past where we do not belong and where we need to leave behind. Read more

I strongly oppose the extension of licensing and transfer of license proposal for penned dog hunting facilities. These facilities are the height of animal cruelty and should be further restricted, not expanded. Read more

I have hunting dogs. I come into contact with coyotes while with my dogs. I have had to defend myself and the dogs against coyotes. It is a reminder that they are the predators and I'm in their space. It's not a sport. It is an outdated vanity business. There is no historical necessary value. Read more

Wildlife should never be taken from their natural environments and held captive by hunters. It’s especially cruel to use rabbits, coyotes, and foxes as pawns for hunters to train dogs and hold competitions. Read more
