I have read the proposal and I totally object Bill 212. This will definitely harm the environment by building a highway 413 through the greenbelt. The city and municipality should have a say in what is happening in their jurisdiction. Read more

As a bike rider AND a driver, I am deeply concerned about bill 212 for a number of reasons: 1) our cities are suffering with traffic congestion, which has gotten worse since before the pandemic despite less commuting and likely owing to lower transit use. Read more

The forced removal of bike lanes will mean the end of Vision Zero. Simply put, there is an overwhelming amount of evidence to show that this has the potential to lead to more deaths and severe injury, including with children. Are you really okay with that?

I strongly oppose Bill 212 being introduced in Ontario. Reducing traffic does not come from increasing car lanes. This will only temporary relieve gridlock, until demand increases and traffic returns to its current state. Read more
