The intent of the Endangered Species Act is not to have its regulations repealed or amended simply when it becomes expedient to do so for business reasons. It is well past time for government to respect the spirit of this law over the mere letter of it. [Original Comment ID: 212714]

Must we stain every square inch of this planet with our humanity. We won already. We are the dominant species. Surely we are intelligent enough to know that if we wish to survive long term we must preserve a good portion of this surface of our planet as untouched. Let nature be wild in these areas. Read more

It is unacceptable to exempt the logging industry from rules that protect the caribou and the boreal forest. Other agencies are doing their best to save these things and help them prosper. We are not the USA who throw their valuable resources away in search of the almighty dollar. Read more

I am strictly opposed to exempting the forest industry from the endangered species act. Caribou are still in the food chain of indigenous people and need to be protected. If we let the forest industry ravage their ecosystem we are putting the indigenous people's food source at risk. Read more

I believe that we should not be interfering with Crown Land. That it should be left in it's natural state for all wildlife. The fact that we have so many Canadian species at risk, should have been a warning to us the people that we should diversify are resources and needs. Read more

STOP bending to the demands of the logging industry and sacrificing wildlife. All species need more protection now, more than ever. You cannot give an exemption to logging companies that are destroying desperately needed habitat. Your government has continued to abandon wildlife in our province. Read more
